GOTHENBURG, Sweden (Interstat) — GAIS and Osters IF played to a 1-1 draw in their Allsvenskan season opener Sunday at Salon Urheilupuisto Stadion. Osters forward Ibrahim Diabaté opened the scoring in the 24th minute, but GAIS substitute Daniel Ljung equalized just before halftime in the 40th. The result defied statistical models that heavily favored the home side. Both clubs begin their Swedish top-flight campaigns with a draw.
