Djurgardens Routs Varnamo in High-Scoring Allsvenskan Match
STOCKHOLM (Interstat) — Djurgardens IF FF delivered a stunning offensive performance Saturday, thrashing Varnamo 6-2 in an Allsvenskan match at 3Arena. The result defied pre-game projections that heavily favored the visitors. Forward August Priske led the onslaught with two goals in a minute just after halftime, scoring in the 50th and 51st minutes. Djurgardens saw goals from six different players, including Mikael Anderson, Tokmac Nguen, Ajdin Zeljkovic, Matias Siltanen and Patric Åslund. Jeppe Okkels scored Varnamo’s second goal late. The lopsided victory came despite Interstat’s ELO system giving Varnamo a 64.9 percent chance to win.
