Olymp de Cayenne vs Loyola
CAYENNE, French Guiana (Interstat) — Olymp de Cayenne will seek to avenge a loss earlier this season when it hosts Loyola on Sunday in a Régional 1 matchup at Stade Georges Chaumontet.
Interstat’s game simulator projects a 2-1 victory for the home side.
Olymp de Cayenne (7-9-3 in its last 19 matches across all competitions) enters the game with momentum after a 2-1 win Sunday against CSC Cayenne. The team rallied from an early deficit, but consistency has been elusive. The club has alternated wins and losses over its past four games, including a 4-0 defeat to Le Geldar on April 12.
The simulator’s prediction would break a trend. Loyola defeated Olymp de Cayenne 2-0 on Oct. 21, 2025, in the most recent head-to-head meeting, improving its record to 8-1-1 in the past 10 games between the clubs.
Loyola (6-7-4 in its last 17 matches) comes off a 2-2 draw against Grand Santi on April 18. That result followed a 2-0 loss to ASC Karib on April 12 and a 2-1 win over ASC Armire on March 18.
The visitor’s form on the road has been erratic. Loyola lost 6-2 at d’Or de Mana on Nov. 29, 2025, and 5-0 at Matoury on Feb. 10, 2026. However, the club also earned a 2-2 draw at Le Geldar on Jan. 31.
Olymp de Cayenne has struggled against elite opposition. The team lost 5-2 to Cosma on March 1 and 4-0 to Le Geldar on April 12. But the home side has shown resilience in close games, including a 2-1 win at d’Or de Mana on Jan. 31 and a 1-0 victory against Remire on March 8.
Defensive discipline will be key for both sides. Loyola has allowed multiple goals in five of its past nine games. Olymp de Cayenne has kept three clean sheets in its past 11 contests but has conceded three or more goals four times during that span.
Sunday’s match begins at 3 p.m. local time.
