Renofa Yamaguchi vs Omiya Ardija

TOKYO (Interstat) — Renofa Yamaguchi hosts Omiya Ardija on Saturday in a J2 League match, with the visitors looking to complete a season sweep after a narrow victory in their previous meeting.

The match is scheduled for Nov. 29 at Yamaguchi Ishin Park Stadium.

Omiya Ardija (8-5-7) enters the contest following a 2-1 home loss to Tokushima Vortis on Nov. 23, which snapped a three-match unbeaten streak. Prior to that, Ardija had found strong form, including a 5-0 rout of Blaublitz Akita and a 2-0 win over Mito Hollyhock. Their potent attack will be tested against a Renofa side seeking revenge.

Renofa Yamaguchi (5-7-8) is coming off a scoreless draw with Iwaki SC. Their recent form has been inconsistent, with just one win in their last five outings. They will be motivated by the memory of their March 8 encounter, where Omiya Ardija secured a 2-1 win.

According to the Interstat game simulator, the match is projected to end in a 1-1 draw. The result could see Omiya Ardija solidify its position in the upper half of the table, while Renofa Yamaguchi looks to climb out of the lower tier.
