Consadole Sapporo vs Ehime

SAPPORO, Japan (Interstat) — Consadole Sapporo will look to maintain its recent dominance over Ehime FC when the two sides meet in a J2 League match on Saturday.

The game at Sapporo Dome is a rematch of a March 23 fixture, which Sapporo won 2-1 on the road. Interstat’s game simulator projects a repeat of that scoreline, favoring the home side.

Sapporo (W-D-L: 2-1-2 in its last five) enters the contest following a 1-1 draw with FC Imabari on Nov. 23. Their form has been inconsistent, with a 3-1 victory over Oita Trinita on Nov. 8 followed by a 5-2 defeat to JEF United Chiba. They have shown resilience at home, however, with recent wins over Oita and Kataller Toyama.

Ehime (0-2-3 in its last five) is mired in a difficult stretch, having recorded just one win in its last ten outings. The club is coming off a 1-1 home draw with Roasso Kumamoto on Nov. 23. Defense has been a primary concern; Ehime has conceded four goals in a match twice during this poor run, including a 4-0 loss to V-Varen Nagasaki on Nov. 8.

Historically, the head-to-head advantage belongs to Sapporo, and their current form, while uneven, appears stronger than that of a struggling Ehime squad. The visitors will need to find a way to shore up their back line to have a chance at an upset on the road.

Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. local time on Saturday, Nov. 29.
