AKITA, Japan (Interstat) — Blaublitz Akita will host Vegalta Sendai on Sunday in a J2 League match at Soyu Stadium, with the visitors looking to complete a season sweep.

Vegalta Sendai (8-5-3) has won both previous meetings this season, earning a 2-1 victory on May 18 and a 1-0 win on April 5. They enter the match in strong form, coming off a 2-0 home win over Roasso Kumamoto on Nov. 8. Their recent results have been high-scoring, with their last four matches featuring a combined 17 goals, including a 3-2 loss to Imabari and a 3-2 win over Sagan Tosu.

Blaublitz Akita (6-7-3) is also riding momentum from a shutout victory, having defeated Iwaki SC 2-0 on Nov. 9. However, their form has been inconsistent, with that win preceded by a 5-0 road loss to Omiya Ardija and a scoreless draw with JEF United.

The Interstat game simulator projects a 1-1 draw for the contest.

Following this match, Vegalta Sendai will host Iwaki SC on Nov. 29, while Blaublitz Akita will travel to face Kataller Toyama the same day.
