Iwaki SC vs Fujieda MYFC
TOKYO (Interstat) — Iwaki SC, riding a wave of positive results, will host a struggling Fujieda MYFC side in a J2 League match on Sunday.
The matchup at Iwaki’s home ground pits two clubs heading in opposite directions as the season enters its final stretch. Iwaki (16-14-15) sits mid-table, while Fujieda (9-18-15) is mired near the bottom.
Form favors the hosts. Iwaki arrives with momentum from a 1-0 road victory over Tokushima Vortis last Saturday, part of a run that has seen the club lose just once in its last five league matches. Their offense has been potent, including a 5-1 thrashing of Consadole Sapporo last month.
Fujieda, meanwhile, is winless in its last three outings, managing only a 1-1 draw against Ventforet Kofu in its most recent fixture. The visitors have found goals hard to come by, being shut out in two of their last three games.
The teams’ last meeting provides a glimmer of hope for Fujieda, which defeated Iwaki 2-0 on March 15. However, current trajectories suggest a different outcome. According to the Interstat game simulator, Iwaki is projected to win 2-1.
The game is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 2, 2025.
