Roasso Kumamoto vs Oita Trinita

KUMAMOTO, Japan (Interstat) — Two Kyushu rivals mired in the lower half of the table will meet Sunday when Roasso Kumamoto hosts Oita Trinita in a J2 League fixture.

The match at Egao Kenko Stadium pits a Roasso side (15-20-10, 55 points) against an Oita squad (8-16-15, 39 points) that has struggled for wins all season. With only a few matches remaining, both teams are playing for pride and momentum heading into 2026.

The visitors from Oita earned a 1-0 victory in the last head-to-head meeting on May 3. However, Trinita has found goals hard to come by lately, playing to a scoreless draw against Vegalta Sendai in their last outing and being shut out in four of their previous six matches.

Roasso arrives with slightly better form, coming off a 1-1 road draw with Montedio Yamagata. Their attack has shown more potency than Oita’s, but defensive consistency has been an issue.

According to the Interstat game simulator, the most likely outcome is a 1-1 draw, a result that would reflect both teams’ challenging seasons. A draw would also extend Oita’s unbeaten streak to three matches, a modest positive in a difficult campaign.

The match is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 26, 2025.
