SAINT-BRIEUC, France (April 10, 2026) (Interstat) — Stade Briochin and VF Beaujolais opened their National 1 campaigns with a scoreless draw Friday at Stade Fred Aubert.

The match failed to produce a goal despite projections favoring a 1-1 result. Stade Briochin had been given a 57.3% win probability. The defensive stalemate left both clubs with an identical record of 0-0-1 to start the season across all competitions.

Midfielder Guillaume Beghin and forward Michael Faty provided key performances for the home side, while substitutes Nassim Sabihi and Sambaly Keïta were impactful for the visitors. Discipline was an issue, with all four players receiving yellow cards in a match that saw four cautions total.
