Orleans and Concarneau Open Season With 1‑1 Draw in French National 1

ORLÉANS, France (Interstat) — Orleans and Concarneau opened their National 1 campaigns with a 1-1 draw Friday at Stade de la Source.

Concarneau’s Flavio Da Silva opened the scoring in the 39th minute, compensating for an early yellow card he received in the fourth minute. Orleans equalized in the 63rd minute through Fahd El Khoumisti.

The result matched the projection of Interstat’s game simulator, though it defied the same service’s pre-match analytics which gave the home side a 74.9% probability of victory. The match was a physical affair, featuring six yellow cards.

Both clubs now hold identical records of zero wins, zero losses and one draw to start the season in France’s third division.
