VILLEFRANCHE-SUR-SAÔNE, France (April 3, 2026) (Interstat) — VF Beaujolais earned a 2-1 victory over Rouen in a National 1 match Friday at Stade Armand Chouffet.

Mourad Louzif opened the scoring for the hosts in the 13th minute. Rouen’s Formose Mendy equalized in the 33rd, but Idrissa Seydi netted the decisive goal for Beaujolais in the 67th. Seydi also received a yellow card in the 10th minute, one of five issued in the match.

The result improved Beaujolais to 1-0 in the league, while Rouen fell to 1-1. The outcome slightly defied a pre-match projection that favored a draw. Rouen next hosts Valenciennes.
