CONCARNEAU, France (Interstat) — Le Puy Foot opened its National 1 campaign with a commanding 3-0 away victory over Concarneau on Friday at Stade Guy Piriou. The visitors defied a pregame projection that favored a draw, controlling the match from start to finish.

Defender Djessine Seba opened the scoring in the 24th minute. Substitute Moussa Faty then doubled the lead just before halftime in the 44th, adding an assist later. Faty’s second-half setup found fellow substitute Plamedi Nsingi, who sealed the win in the 77th minute. Faty also received a yellow card in the 63rd minute.

The win gives Le Puy Foot a perfect start in the French third division, while Concarneau begins its season with a defeat at home.
