AUBAGNE, France (Interstat) — Fleury 91 opened its National 1 campaign with a 2-1 road victory over Aubagne on Friday at Stade de Lattre de Tassigny. Kevin Farade broke a scoreless deadlock just before halftime, finding the net in the third minute of first-half stoppage time. Christopher Rocchia doubled the lead for the visitors in the 52nd minute. Aubagne managed a late consolation goal but could not complete the comeback. The match was a physical affair, featuring six yellow cards. The result defied a pregame projection that favored Fleury 91 but forecast a draw. Both clubs now hold 1-0 records in the French third division.
