Kowloon City DSA vs Kitchee
HONG KONG (Interstat) — Kitchee delivered a dominant performance, routing Kowloon City DSA 5-0 on Sunday in a Hong Kong Premier League match at Sham Shui Po Sports Ground.
The visiting side took control early and never relented, with a second-half scoring blitz sealing the comprehensive victory. The result far exceeded the pre-game projection from Interstat, whose game simulator had forecast a 2-1 win for Kitchee.
Kitchee opened the scoring in the 25th minute when Revi found the net. The visitors doubled their lead just before halftime, with Juninho scoring in the first minute of stoppage time.
Any hope of a second-half response from the home side was extinguished in a devastating four-minute span after the break. Kitchee’s Yumemi Kanda struck just two minutes into the second half, making it 3-0 in the 47th minute.
Juninho then took over, completing his hat trick with goals in the 52nd and 56th minutes. His three goals in under 11 minutes of game time turned the match into a rout and secured the lopsided result.
The win improves Kitchee’s record in Premier League play to 4 wins, 0 losses and 2 draws, solidifying their position near the top of the table. Across all competitions, they now hold a record of 4-1-2. The loss drops Kowloon City DSA to 2-4-3 in the league and 3-4-3 overall.
Kitchee entered the match following two consecutive draws in league play, a 3-3 result against North District on Oct. 26 and a 1-1 draw with Tai Po FC on Oct. 18. The victory gets them back on a winning track.
Kowloon City DSA was looking to build on a 1-0 victory over Eastern District from this past Wednesday, but was thoroughly outplayed from the start. The team’s form has been inconsistent, with the win preceding a loss to Hong Kong on Oct. 26 and a draw with North District on Oct. 19.
Kitchee’s next match is on the road against Kwoon Chung Southern on Nov. 8. Kowloon City DSA does not return to league action until Nov. 22 with an away fixture against the same Kwoon Chung Southern side. The two teams are scheduled to meet again on March 14, 2026, at Kitchee’s home ground.
