LIMA, Peru (Interstat) — Atl Grau and Alianza Atletico played to a 1-1 draw Sunday in a Peruvian Primera División match at Estadio Campeones del 36. The result defied pregame projections that heavily favored the home side.

Neri Bandiera opened the scoring for Atl Grau in the 14th minute, but Alianza Atletico responded just six minutes later with an equalizer from substitute Luis Olmedo. The match was a physical affair, featuring eight yellow cards. Both teams remain unbeaten with a draw to start their league campaigns.
