CAJAMARCA, Peru (Interstat) — Substitute Yorleys Mena scored two first-half goals to lead UTC Cajamarca to a 3-2 victory over Alianza Univ in a Peruvian Primera División match Sunday at Estadio Héroes de San Ramón.

Mena found the net in the 24th and 43rd minutes, giving the home side a commanding lead. Alianza Univ mounted a late comeback attempt, with a goal from Juan Vega in the seventh minute of second-half stoppage time, but it was not enough. The result defied the pregame projection from Interstat, which had forecast a 1-1 draw. The match was a physical affair, featuring six yellow cards.
