BRYNE, Norway (Interstat) — Sarpsborg 08 opened its Eliteserien season with a dominant 3-0 away victory over Bryne on Sunday, defying pregame projections. All three goals were scored by substitutes at Bryne Stadion.

Frederik Carstensen opened the scoring just five minutes into the match. Fellow substitutes Daniel Job and Daniel Karlsbakk added second-half goals, with Karlsbakk sealing the result in the sixth minute of stoppage time. Sarpsborg’s bench provided a decisive advantage in a physical contest that featured four yellow cards. The win gives Sarpsborg a perfect start to the Norwegian top-flight campaign.
