MOLDE, Norway (Interstat) — Molde opened its Eliteserien season with a commanding 4-0 victory over Brann on Saturday at Aker Stadion, defying pregame projections that heavily favored the visiting side.

The match remained scoreless until Emil Breivik broke through for Molde in the 54th minute. Oskar Spiten-Nysæter added a second goal 11 minutes later, followed by strikes from Mathias Dyngeland and Sondre Granaas to seal the lopsided win. The result was a stark contrast to the pregame forecast, where statistical models gave Brann a significant chance to win.
