KRISTIANSUND, Norway (Interstat) — Leander Alvheim scored twice to propel Kristiansund BK to a 2-1 victory over Stromsgodset in the Eliteserien on Sunday at Nordmøre Stadion. Alvheim opened the scoring in first-half stoppage time and netted the eventual winner in the 53rd minute. Stromsgodset’s Fredrik Ardraa answered with a goal shortly after halftime, but the visitors could not find an equalizer. The result defied a Interstat projection that forecast a 2-2 draw, though its ELO system had favored Kristiansund with a 67 percent win probability. With the win, Kristiansund BK begins its league campaign 1-0, while Stromsgodset starts 0-1.
