Norwich City Upsets Millwall With Late Goal in Championship Opener

LONDON (Interstat) — Norwich City opened its English Championship season with a 2-1 comeback victory over Millwall at The Den on Monday.

The hosts took the lead in the 56th minute through forward Mihailo Ivanović. Norwich responded quickly, with substitute Pelle Mattsson equalizing in the 62nd minute. Another substitute, Oscar Schwartau, completed the turnaround by scoring the decisive goal in the 76th minute. Schwartau also assisted on Mattsson’s goal.

The result was an upset, as statistical models heavily favored Millwall to win. Norwich begins its league campaign with a win, while Millwall starts with a loss.
