MIDDLESBROUGH, England (Interstat) — Middlesbrough opened its Championship season with a 2-1 comeback victory over Derby County at Riverside Stadium on Saturday. Substitute Patrick Agyemang gave the visitors an early lead in the second minute. Middlesbrough defender Matt Targett leveled the score in the 75th minute before Morgan Whittaker netted the winner for the hosts nine minutes later. The result defied a pregame projection from Interstat, which gave Middlesbrough a 65.5% chance to win but simulated a 1-1 draw.
