SINSHEIM, Germany (Interstat) — Hoffenheim opened its Bundesliga season with a commanding 3-0 victory over Augsburg on Saturday at PreZero Arena. The home side controlled the match from the start, with Bazoumana Touré opening the scoring in the 16th minute. Wouter Burger doubled the lead in the 26th and substitute Cédric Zesiger sealed the win just before halftime with a goal in the 45th minute. Augsburg was held scoreless in its season opener.
