ZACATECAS, Mexico (Interstat) — Atlante delivered a commanding 4-1 victory over Mineros de Zacatecas on Saturday in a Liga de Expansión MX match at Estadio Carlos Vega Villalba. The visitors dominated the first half, with goals from José Ávila, Maximiliano García, Luis Calzadilla and Samuel González before the break. Substitute Rubén Coubert added a second-half goal for Atlante. José Ávila scored the lone goal for the home side. The result defied pregame projections that heavily favored a draw or a Mineros win. Four players received yellow cards in the physical contest.
