Barnet Upsets Notts County With Late Substitute’s Brace

NOTTINGHAM, England (Interstat) — Substitute Kabongo Tshimanga scored twice to lead Barnet to a 2-1 upset victory over Notts County in a League Two match at Meadow Lane Stadium on Saturday.

Tshimanga, who entered the game as a substitute, opened the scoring in the 32nd minute and added a second in the 69th. His goals overturned a statistical projection that heavily favored the home side. Notts County’s lone reply came from forward Jodi Jones. Barnet defender Adam Senior and Notts County midfielder Tyrese Hall received late yellow cards.

The result marked a winning start to Barnet’s league campaign, while Notts County began its season with a defeat.
