WALSALL, England (Interstat) — Notts County opened its League Two season with a 2-1 comeback victory over Walsall on Saturday at Pallet-Track Bescot Stadium.

Aaron Pressley gave the home side a lead just before halftime, scoring in the 45th minute. The visitors equalized in the 79th minute through Oliver Norburn before substitute Jodi Jones netted the decisive goal in the fourth minute of stoppage time. Jones also assisted on Norburn’s goal.

The result defied pre-match projections that favored Walsall. The match was a physical affair, featuring nine yellow cards issued between both sides. With the win, Notts County begins its campaign 1-0, while Walsall starts 0-1.
