Minebea Mitsumi FC vs Honda

TOKYO (Interstat) — A dominant Honda side will look to extend its lead in the Japan Football League on Saturday when it visits a Minebea Mitsumi FC team that handed it one of its few losses this season.

The match at Minebea Mitsumi’s home ground pits the league’s top team against a side mired in the bottom half of the table. Honda enters the contest with 26 wins, 4 losses and 11 draws in JFL play, a stark contrast to Minebea Mitsumi’s record of 9-12-12.

However, the hosts won the last head-to-head meeting, a stunning 3-1 victory at Honda on June 15. That result stands as an outlier in both teams’ recent form. Honda is riding a four-game unbeaten streak, including a 1-0 road win over Yokogawa Musashino FC last Friday. Minebea Mitsumi is coming off a 2-1 victory over Okinawa SV but had lost three of its previous four matches.

Across all competitions, Honda holds a 27-6-11 record, while Minebea Mitsumi is 9-12-12. Despite the lopsided records, the Interstat game simulator projects a 1-1 draw.

Following this match, Honda will host Urayasu on Nov. 22, while Minebea Mitsumi FC will travel to face Maruyasu Okazaki the same day.
