TOKYO (Interstat) — A pivotal Japan Football League matchup on Saturday pits first-place Reinmeer Aomori against a struggling Verspah Oita side looking to play spoiler.

Reinmeer Aomori (18-8-11) enters the contest at the top of the table, buoyed by a 3-1 victory over Asuka FC on Nov. 8. The club has been strong at home and holds a superior overall record of 22-11-11 across all competitions this season.

Verspah Oita (17-12-12), sitting mid-table, aims to rebound from a 3-1 road loss to Urayasu last Saturday. The visitors have found wins hard to come by lately, dropping three of their last four league matches. Their overall form is 17-14-12.
