Grulla Morioka vs Urayasu

TOKYO (Interstat) — Urayasu looks to solidify its position near the top of the Japan Football League table on Friday when it visits a resurgent Grulla Morioka in a Halloween clash.

The match at Iwagin Stadium pits two teams trending in opposite directions. Urayasu (18-8-12), sitting third in the league, is unbeaten in its last three outings, including a 1-1 draw with Yokogawa Musashino FC last Saturday. Their form has been built on a stout defense, conceding just one goal in their last four matches.

Grulla Morioka (12-16-12), however, arrives with momentum from a 4-2 victory over Verspah Oita, a match that snapped a three-game winless streak. The home side’s attack has shown potency, scoring seven goals in its last two fixtures, but its defense remains a concern after conceding nine times in the three games prior.

History favors the visitors. In the last head-to-head meeting on April 19, Urayasu secured a 1-0 home victory.

The Interstat game simulator projects a 1-1 draw, a result that would extend Urayasu’s unbeaten run and continue Grulla Morioka’s recent run of high-scoring contests.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. local time. Urayasu’s next match is Nov. 8 against Verspah Oita, while Grulla Morioka travels to face Atletico Suzuka Club the same day.
