KANCHANABURI, Thailand (Interstat) — Substitute Júnior Batista scored in the 71st minute to lift Kanchanaburi Power FC to a 1-1 draw with Rayong in a Thai League 1 match Sunday at Kanchanaburi Provincial Stadium.

Aboubakar Kamara opened the scoring for the visitors in the 40th minute. Batista’s equalizer, assisted by Kitsana Kasemkulwilai, canceled out the early strike and split the points. The result defied pregame projections that heavily favored Rayong. Both teams now hold a record of zero wins, zero losses and one draw to start the league season. The physical match featured seven yellow cards.
