Mbeya City vs Tanzania Prisons

MBEYA, Tanzania (Interstat) — Two sides seeking to build momentum in the Ligi kuu Bara will meet Tuesday when Mbeya City hosts Tanzania Prisons.

Both clubs enter the match with identical 1-2-1 records in the Tanzanian top flight this season, placing them in the bottom half of the table. Their overall records across all competitions are also mirror images at one win, two losses and one draw for Mbeya City, and one win and two losses for Tanzania Prisons.

The home side carries significant confidence from its last outing, a commanding 3-0 road victory over Kinondoni Municipal Council FC on Oct. 18. That result snapped a three-match winless streak for Mbeya City.

Tanzania Prisons, meanwhile, earned its first win of the season on Sept. 27, a 1-0 home result against Kinondoni Municipal Council FC. Forwards Kelvin Sengati, Oscar Mwajanga and Jeremia Juma were key contributors in that narrow victory. That win was preceded by two consecutive 1-0 losses to Namungo and Coastal Union.

According to the Interstat game simulator, the match is projected to be a low-scoring affair, with a final score of Mbeya City 1, Tanzania Prisons 0.

Following this contest, Mbeya City will prepare for a home match against JKT Tanzania on Friday. Tanzania Prisons’ next fixture is a home encounter against powerhouse Young Africans SC on Nov. 1.
