TARKWA, Ghana (March 27, 2026) (Interstat) — Medeama began its Ghana Premier League campaign with a 2-0 victory over Eleven Wonders on Friday at Tarkwa T&A Park.

The home side scored twice in a six-minute first-half span. Forward Kelvin Obeng opened the scoring in the 22nd minute with a headed goal. Midfielder Salim Adams doubled the lead in the 28th minute, converting a free kick. Substitute Farouk Ameyaw, who entered after a 12th-minute yellow card, provided an assist.

The result defied the pre-match projection from Interstat, whose game simulator had predicted a 1-1 draw. Its ELO system, however, gave Medeama a 92 percent probability to win. Both teams opened their league seasons with the match, leaving their competition records level.
