TARKWA, Ghana (Interstat) — Hohoe United FC opened its Ghana Premier League season with a 2-1 upset victory over Medeama on Sunday at Tarkwa T&A Park. The visitors defied pregame projections that heavily favored the home side. Interstat’s game simulator had projected a 1-1 draw, and its ELO system gave Medeama an 87.3% probability to win. Kelvin Obeng scored for Hohoe United in the 49th minute. The result gives Hohoe United a winning start to the league campaign, while Medeama begins with a loss.
