SAMARTEX, Ghana (Interstat) — Samartex opened the Ghana Premier League season with a 2-0 victory over Hohoe United FC on Sunday at Nsenkyire Sports Arena. Clinton Kumi scored both goals in the final minutes, breaking a deadlock in the 86th minute and sealing the win with another in the 90th. The result defied a pregame projection from Interstat, whose simulator had predicted a 1-0 win for the visitors. Samartex was heavily favored by the firm’s ELO rating system, which gave them an 81.8% chance to win. Both teams opened their league campaigns with the result.
