RIZE, Turkiye (Interstat) — Fenerbahce opened its Süper Lig season with a dominant 5-2 victory over Rizespor on Sunday at Çaykur Didi Stadyumu. The visitors’ attack exploded for four second-half goals to secure the win.

Substitutes Marco Asensio, with two goals, Youssef En-Nesyri, Talisca and Archie Brown all found the net for Fenerbahce after the break. Rizespor’s Qazim Laçi, who scored his team’s second goal, was sent off with a red card in the 63rd minute, crippling the home side’s chances. The result exceeded the projected margin of victory for Fenerbahce, which was a heavy favorite.
