IZMIR, Turkiye (Interstat) — Juan Santos scored in first-half stoppage time to lift Goztepe to a 1-0 victory over Genclerbirligi SK in a Turkish Süper Lig match Saturday at Gürsel Aksel Stadyumu. The decisive goal came in the 45th+1 minute, with substitute Oğulcan Ülgün providing the assist. The win gives Goztepe a perfect start to its league campaign at 1-0-0, while Genclerbirligi begins the season 0-0-1. The result defied a pregame projection from Interstat that forecast a 1-1 draw, though its ELO system heavily favored the home side.
