Vibonese vs Sancataldese

VIBONESE, Italy (Interstat) — Two sides in need of a momentum shift will meet Thursday when Vibonese hosts Sancataldese in a Serie D fixture at Stadio Luigi Razza.

The match comes at a critical juncture for both clubs in Italy’s fourth tier. Vibonese (W-D-L) enters with a slight boost in confidence after a 2-0 road victory over Vigor Lamezia on March 29, snapping a five-match winless streak. Prior to that, their form was dire, having been outscored 13-0 during a four-game losing skid.

Sancataldese’s recent trajectory is decidedly downward. They are winless in their last three, including a demoralizing 5-1 home defeat to Nissa on March 29. Their attack has stalled, failing to score in three of their last four outings.

The head-to-head history suggests a tight contest. The teams played to a 1-1 draw in Sancataldese on Nov. 23, 2025. A statistical projection from Interstat also forecasts a 1-1 deadlock for this encounter.

For the visitors, the pressing concern is a leaky defense that has conceded 11 goals in their last three matches. Vibonese, while inconsistent, has shown a capacity for clean sheets, with two in their last five home games.

The calendar adds urgency. This is the first of a compact April schedule for both sides. Vibonese will travel to Igea Virtus on April 12, while Sancataldese hosts Gelbison Cilento the same day.

Vibonese manager Francesco Tudisco will look to build on the defensive solidity shown against Vigor Lamezia. Sancataldese boss Alessandro Settimo must find a way to stem the defensive bleeding and rediscover a scoring touch, last seen in a 1-0 win over Enna Calcio on Feb. 22.

Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. local time (1300 GMT) on April 2. With both teams mired in the lower half of the Serie D table, the result could prove pivotal for morale and positioning ahead of the final stretch of the season.
