Stade Lavallois Mayenne FC vs Le Mans

LE MANS, France (Interstat) — A regional derby with both teams desperate for a win will unfold Tuesday when Stade Lavallois Mayenne FC hosts rival Le Mans in a French Ligue 2 match.

The matchup at Stade Francis-Le-Basser pits two clubs struggling to find consistent form this season. Lavallois (1-1-3) sits just above Le Mans (0-1-2) in the league table, with both teams mired in the bottom half of the standings. Their struggles extend beyond the league, with Lavallois holding a 1-1-3 record across all competitions and Le Mans still searching for its first win in any contest at 0-3-2.

Le Mans arrives with a flicker of momentum, having secured its first victory of the season in its last outing, a 1-0 result against Boulogne on Oct. 24. Lavallois, conversely, is looking to rebound from a 1-0 home loss to Red Star on Oct. 18. Their lone league win this season was a 2-1 victory at Boulogne on Sept. 12.

The Interstat game simulator projects a 1-1 draw, a result that would extend Le Mans’ pattern of draws but do little to boost either club’s position.

Following this derby, Le Mans will host Nancy on Oct. 31, while Lavallois travels to face Guingamp U19 the same day.
