KUALA LUMPUR CITY, Malaysia (Interstat) — Kuala Lumpur City began its Super League campaign with a 2-0 victory over Kelantan on Friday at Stadium Sultan Mohammad IV.

Safawi Rasid opened the scoring in the 20th minute. Kpah Sherman added a second goal in the 54th minute to secure the road win. The result defied a pregame statistical projection of a 1-1 draw, though data heavily favored the visitors.
