LONDON (Interstat) — Millwall defeated Queens Park Rangers 2-0 on Saturday in an English Championship match at The Den.

Midfielder Derek Mazou-Sacko opened the scoring just three minutes into the game. Camiel Neghli, also a midfielder, doubled the lead in the 17th minute with both goals assisted by substitutes Amadou Mbengue and Isaac Hayden, respectively.

The match featured four yellow cards, issued to Ronnie Edwards, Mbengue, Femi Azeez and Hayden. Millwall, the home side, improved its league record with the win while QPR failed to find the net.

The result defied a pregame statistical projection that had forecast a draw, though Millwall was a heavy favorite.
