Shenzhen FC vs Qingdao Hongshi FC
SHENZHEN, China (Interstat) — Two of China League One’s most struggling sides will meet Saturday when Shenzhen FC hosts Qingdao Hongshi FC.
The matchup at Shenzhen’s Bao’an Stadium pits teams mired at the bottom of the table. Shenzhen (6-14-5) sits just above Qingdao (1-15-7) in the standings, with both clubs having already suffered at least 14 losses this season.
Form heavily favors the hosts. Shenzhen earned a 2-0 victory when the teams last met on July 5. Qingdao is in a deep slump, having lost its last five league matches while being outscored 16-3 in that span. Their most recent outing was a 4-2 home defeat to Guangdong Haoxin Trade on Nov. 1.
Shenzhen is coming off a 1-1 draw with Dingnan Ganlian FC, a result that snapped a three-game losing streak. Despite their own poor record, Shenzhen will be confident facing a Qingdao defense that has conceded a league-worst 45 goals.
According to Interstat’s game simulator, the most likely outcome is a 2-0 victory for Shenzhen FC, mirroring the scoreline from their July encounter.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7:35 p.m. local time.
