Shanghai Jiading vs Chongq Tongliang

SHANGHAI (Interstat) — A surging Chongqing Tongliang side will look to extend its push for promotion when it visits a struggling Shanghai Jiading in a China League One match on Saturday.

Chongqing Tongliang (24-9-7) enters the contest near the top of the table, having lost only once in its last five league matches. The visitors are formidable on the road, with a recent 2-1 victory at Dalian Kuncheng FC among their strong away results. Their form stands in stark contrast to Shanghai Jiading (13-18-6), which sits in the bottom half of the standings and is winless in its last three outings, including a 2-1 loss at Guangxi Pingguo last Saturday.

The previous meeting between these clubs was a one-sided affair, with Chongqing Tongliang dominating in a 4-0 home victory on July 6.

Despite the lopsided history and divergent form, Interstat’s game simulator projects a tightly contested 1-1 draw. For that to materialize, Shanghai Jiading’s defense will need to contain a potent Chongqing attack that has scored multiple goals in three of its last five matches across all competitions.

Kickoff is set for Saturday at Shanghai Jiading’s home ground. The match is part of the 34th round of fixtures in China’s second division.
