Qingdao Hongshi FC vs Nanjing Chengshi FC

QINGDAO, China (Interstat) — A matchup of two struggling sides in China’s second division will see Qingdao Hongshi FC host Nanjing Chengshi FC on Saturday in a China League One fixture.

The game at Hongshi Stadium pits two clubs mired at the bottom of the table. Qingdao enters the contest with a league-worst record of 1-13-6, having secured just one victory all season. Their form across all competitions is similarly bleak at 2-14-6. The home side is reeling from a 2-0 road loss to Shaanxi Lianhe FC on Oct. 19 and has failed to score in its last three matches.

Nanjing Chengshi (4-10-6) sits just above Qingdao in the standings and is coming off a morale-boosting 2-0 home win over Dingnan Ganlian FC on Oct. 19. That result snapped a four-game winless streak in league play. Nanjing also holds a psychological edge, having defeated Qingdao 2-0 when the teams last met on June 22.

Despite their poor form, Qingdao will look to leverage home-field advantage, while Nanjing seeks its first consecutive wins of the season. The Interstat game simulator projects a 1-1 draw, a result that would see both teams add another point to their meager totals in a season defined by disappointment.
