Shenzhen FC vs Suzhou Dongwu
SHENZHEN, China (Interstat) — Shenzhen FC hosts Suzhou Dongwu in a China League One match on Saturday with both sides desperate for points to salvage difficult seasons.
The matchup at Shenzhen’s stadium pits a home side near the bottom of the table against a visiting team struggling for form. Shenzhen FC sits in 15th place with a league record of 6-12-6. Suzhou Dongwu, in 12th, holds an 11-15-13 record in league play.
Recent form offers little confidence for either club. Shenzhen is coming off a 1-0 home loss to Shijiazhuang Kungfu and has managed just one win in its last five matches across all competitions. Suzhou Dongwu also fell 1-0 at home in its last outing against Guangdong Haoxin Trade and is winless in its last three contests.
The previous meeting between these teams this season ended in a scoreless draw on June 22 in Suzhou.
According to Interstat’s game simulator, Saturday’s contest is projected to end in another 1-1 draw.
Suzhou Dongwu travels to face Chongqing Tongliang on Nov. 1 in its next league fixture. Shenzhen FC will visit Dingnan Ganlian FC on the same date.
