Suwon Bluewings vs Gimpo Citizen
SUWON, South Korea (Interstat) — A crucial K League 2 fixture awaits on Sunday as Suwon Bluewings host Gimpo Citizen, with the visitors seeking to continue their recent dominance in the head-to-head series.
The match at Suwon World Cup Stadium pits a Suwon side riding a six-match unbeaten streak against a Gimpo club looking to rebound from a recent loss. The Bluewings are coming off a 1-1 draw with Ansan Greeners on Nov. 9, a result that extended their positive run. Their form includes a 5-0 rout of Cheonan City and a 2-0 victory over Chungbuk Cheongju FC.
Gimpo Citizen, however, has proven to be a formidable opponent for Suwon this season. In their last two meetings, both on Aug. 16, Gimpo secured 3-1 victories, home and away. Their most recent encounter before that, on May 25, ended in a 1-1 draw in Suwon.
Gimpo’s form has been inconsistent, with a 5-1 thrashing of Hwaseong on Nov. 1 followed by a 1-0 home loss to Bucheon 1995 on Nov. 9.
According to the Interstat game simulator, the clubs are projected to play to a 1-1 draw, mirroring the result of their May fixture in Suwon. The match will test Suwon’s improved defense against a Gimpo attack that has previously found success against them.
Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. local time on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2025.
