ASAN, South Korea (Interstat) — Chungnam Asan opened its K League 2 season with a 2-1 victory over Jeonnam Dragons on Sunday at Yishunsin Stadium. Substitute Ahn Jaemin opened the scoring for the hosts in the 12th minute. Jeonnam’s Charles Lokoli leveled the match in the 29th, but Chungnam Asan midfielder Denilson Silva netted the decisive goal in the second half. The win defied a pregame projection from Interstat that favored a draw. The result gives Chungnam Asan a winning start while Jeonnam begins its campaign with a loss.
