Suwon Bluewings vs Jeonnam Dragons

SUWON, South Korea (Interstat) — In a chaotic and dramatic finish, substitute Ronan Jeronimo scored a stoppage-time equalizer to salvage a 2-2 draw for Jeonnam Dragons against the Suwon Bluewings in a K League 2 match Saturday at Suwon World Cup Stadium.

The result, played on Oct. 25, 2025, saw the visiting Dragons fight back twice against a Suwon side that had been heavily favored to win. The match was a frantic affair from the opening whistle, featuring four goals and a flurry of late yellow cards.

Suwon Bluewings striker Park Jiwon opened the scoring in the ninth minute, giving the home side an early advantage. However, Jeonnam responded quickly, with substitute Ha Nam leveling the score just 16 minutes later in the 25th minute.

The back-and-forth nature of the contest continued in the second half. Suwon’s Kim Jihyun restored the home team’s lead in the 62nd minute, setting the stage for a tense finale. As the match entered second-half stoppage time, Suwon appeared poised to secure a narrow victory.

Jeronimo, who had been brought on as a substitute, had other plans. The Jeonnam attacker found the net in the fourth minute of added time, securing a vital point for his team and silencing the home crowd.

The final moments of the match were marred by disciplinary issues, with three yellow cards issued after the 90th minute. Jeonnam Dragons goalkeeper Yang Hyungmo and substitute Jeong Jiyong were both booked, along with Suwon’s Kim Juyeop, in a sequence that underscored the fractious end to the contest.

The draw continues a trend of high-scoring encounters between the two clubs this season. In their previous meeting on July 19, Suwon emerged with a 4-3 victory. The result on Saturday denied Suwon a season sweep of the Dragons.

For Jeonnam, the hard-fought point on the road adds to a recent run of strong form. Prior to this match, the Dragons had secured a decisive 3-0 victory over Chungbuk Cheongju FC on Oct. 19. Their record in K League 2 play now stands at 17 wins, 12 losses and 15 draws.

The Suwon Bluewings, who were coming off a 3-2 win against Hwaseong, saw their two-game winning streak snapped. They remain in a strong position in the league, however, with their season record now at 24 wins, 10 losses and 15 draws.

The final outcome defied the pre-match projections. Interstat’s game simulator had predicted a 2-1 victory for Suwon, and its ELO rating system gave the Bluewings a 68.80 percent probability of winning.

Both teams will look to build on the result in their next league fixtures. Suwon Bluewings are scheduled to host Chungbuk Cheongju FC on Nov. 1, while Jeonnam Dragons will welcome Seongnam on Nov. 2.
