VARBERG, Sweden (Interstat) — Substitute Gustav Nordh scored two goals in stoppage time just before halftime, lifting Brage to a 2-1 victory over Varbergs GIF in a Superettan match Saturday at Varberg Energi Arena.

Nordh struck in the second minute of first-half stoppage time and again two minutes later to give the visitors a commanding lead. Varbergs GIF’s Zakaria Loukili scored in the 93rd minute, assisted by Edvin Tellgren, but it was too late for a comeback. The result defied a pregame projection that favored the home side. Brage begins its league campaign 1-0-0, while Varbergs GIF starts 0-1-0.
