COPENHAGEN (Interstat) — FC Kobenhavn opened its Champions League campaign with a 3-2 victory over Qairat FK on Wednesday at Parken. The home side built a two-goal lead with first-half strikes from Viktor Dadason in the 26th minute and Robert in the 73rd. The visitors mounted a late comeback with substitute Dastan Satpayev scoring in the 81st and assisting Olzhas Baibek’s 90th-minute goal, but it wasn’t enough. The match was a physical affair, with six yellow cards issued in a frantic finale. The result defied a pregame projection that favored a Qairat victory.
