Kamatamare Sanuki vs Kagoshima Utd
TOKYO (Interstat) — A stark contrast in J3 League fortunes will be on display Sunday when playoff-chasing Kagoshima United visits last-place Kamatamare Sanuki.
The match at Pikara Stadium pits one of the league’s hottest teams against its coldest. Kagoshima United (23-8-13) enters the contest firmly in the promotion hunt, while Kamatamare Sanuki (11-27-10) is mired at the bottom of the table.
Form heavily favors the visitors. Kagoshima is 7-2-1 in its last 10 matches across all competitions, including a recent 3-2 victory over Matsumoto Yamaga. Their only loss in that span was a 2-0 defeat to Tochigi on Nov. 9.
Sanuki, meanwhile, has struggled profoundly, managing just two wins in its last 10 outings. The home side is reeling from consecutive losses, including a 3-1 defeat to Tochigi City on Nov. 8 and a 1-0 loss to Gainare Tottori on Nov. 2.
The previous meeting between these clubs on Feb. 16, 2025, ended in a 1-1 draw. A similar result is projected, with Interstat’s game simulator forecasting a 1-1 final score.
Following this fixture, Kagoshima United will host Ryukyu on Nov. 22. Kamatamare Sanuki travels to face Vanraure Hachinohe the same day.
