RABAT, Morocco (Dec. 30, 2025) (Interstat) — Tunisia and Tanzania played to a 1-1 draw Tuesday in an Africa Cup of Nations group stage match at Stade Olympique de Rabat.

Tanzania midfielder Feisal Salum opened the scoring in the 48th minute. Tunisia substitute Ismaël Gharbi equalized later in the second half. Defenders Ibrahim Bacca of Tunisia and Bakari Mwamnyeto of Tanzania each recorded assists.

The result defied pre-match projections from Interstat, whose simulator had predicted a 4-2 Tunisia victory and its ELO system gave Tanzania a 63.2% chance to win.

Both teams recorded four yellow cards in a physical match. The draw leaves each side with an identical record in the tournament: zero wins, zero losses and one draw.
